From #NEW series: #THINK BIG - Brainy thinking by heart...

Thinking is a mental capacity that requires active grey matter of the brain, as well as well functioning receptors enabling connections in between neurons, in short. But off course we can go through the whole philosophy of mind or/and the philosophical significance of the history of thought to expand on studying what this phenomenon means in each decade over the centuries since Ancient Greek up to modern days and most inspiring field of all: cognitive science.

Being able to think positively about any thought experiment, let's say about the most popular of all by Descartes: ''Cogito, ergo sum''. So, making an effort to understand somebody else's thinking process is a vital mind competence, that we do call intelligence. Regardless of measuring it by the IQ or EQ there is still a lot to learn about why, what and how we think, in general and in particular. Making ''thinking'' a topic for further understanding is a long write, but I do not aim in here to explain this phenomenon, as this topic is a rather too long study for a short online post. Nonetherless, let us take it as a milestone in making our way towards talking about being active in modern communication, not only when sharing with online articles, but also each time we pass on tips and hints from the scientific or/and academic world into business reality. As much as we do need to understand the mechanics of our thinking capacity, getting to know what's new and inspirational and still strongly embedded in the history of innovative and inventive ideas, is vital. Thinking big and going back to the very roots of the philosophical thoughts gives us precious resource, and also helps us to connect the dots each time we need to back up our point of view to modern thinking. As trained Philosopher in more than one specialization and an expert in Philosophy of Mind, I am happy to inspire systematical knowledge as a valuable resource for all conceptual, business, strategic and off course scientific thinking. As much as Philosophy is all about producing knowledge it is foremost about posing questions, that inspire brain storming, so much needed in an everyday business life. So my brain storming question of the day is:

Q01: What do we need to think more of when we look forward to working on the common goal?

Thinking in the same direction may be a truism, that we do mindlessly repeat each time we want to mark a remark on the importance of team work. We do know what it means in theory, and each time we do face the challenge of team building we realize that each team is different and each work within a group of unique individuals differs a lot. Making a common effort to bring the motivation required for smooth team work is one thing. Making a point when establishing common and shared values is yet another thing. And what really matters in the end is the ultimate result of the quality of work provided by team players, team members who agreed to share certain set of values.

Q02: What do we need in able to understand each other's thinking?

Making an effort to understand why we think in a certain way is a key to any quality team work. No matter how many times we will try to ask each other: ''What do you think of this idea'' or ''How in your mind this idea can add to the project'' is useless if we do not have empathy to embrace the full embodied understanding of ''What?'', ''Why?'' and ''How?'' we can understand each other better. That is why empathy is the key to a long term success in any team building and team work. This precious ability to be aware of feelings and emotions of others passess often as the gut feeling, but according to modern science it is possible to learn empathy by appropriate training.

Q3: What heartfelt ideas are serious enough for more than one revision?

Thinking big, as well as being aware of the thinking process of others make us not only strong thinkers ;) but also a very competent communicators. The ability to understand each other each time we work on brainy projects and have in mind positive feadback we would like to get, is trully working towards our positive attitude towards business. It adds positively to the ultimate success of a well grounded team work. It enables a long term progress in a well-being, by default or by purpose - it all depends on the level of consicousness and the inception of each business strategy. Apart from the fact that our gut feelings are our most honest subjective measurement of our idea of our big thinking, it is entirely our own individual decision what emotive brain storming we need to suceed in any intellectual work. In the end we do think in embodied mind, that is embedded in more than one concept. And how are we going to tackle this? Well, maybe we can think of it next time...

....what do you think? ;)
